SHERI SINGERLING spends her days staring at rocks and dust from space and her nights crafting worlds via the written word. She is a US native living in Germany, where she works as a laboratory manager, lecturer, and research scientist.
Everything she writes falls into the Alfom shared universe. Her novels are published under the imprint HypIn Publishing. Her short fiction has appeared in Clarkesworld Magazine.
Outside of her work and writing, Sheri enjoys coaxing plants to grow, walking up and down steep inclines in nature, and listening to repetitive electronic beats.

Stance on AI
Sheri does not use AI in any stage of her writing process—outlining, writing, editing, formatting, marketing, etc. She believes that generative AI is a net negative to the creative fields. It is trained on creatives’ work without their permission and consumes vast amounts of resources to only poorly emulate what humans already do well. Sheri also stands in solidarity with visual artists and only works with illustrators and designers that do not use AI in their creative process. Keep art alive. Keep it human.
